Limpezas, obras e manutenção em Faro

Faro is the district capital: more flats than houses, more landlords than resident owners, and jobs done with neighbours above, below and on both sides.

We get there in about 25 minutes · Municipality of Faro

What building and maintaining a house is like in Faro

A compact city facing the Ria Formosa lagoon, with the walled historic quarter, dense residential neighbourhoods around it, and the university campus at Gambelas driving rental demand.

Mostly three- to eight-storey residential blocks, many from the seventies and eighties, with enclosed balconies, original installations and compact floor areas. In the old quarter, older buildings refurbished for letting.

In Faro the bulk of the work is post-construction cleaning in refurbished flats and interior painting between tenants.

We also work in: Baixa de Faro, Montenegro, Gambelas, Penha, Bom João, Ilha de Faro.

What you need to know about houses in Faro

Working in an occupied block

There is no compound and nowhere to set material down. Everything comes in and goes out through the same lift the neighbours use, and dust from a refurbishment reaches three flats if it is not contained properly.

High tenant turnover

With the university and the hospital driving demand, some flats change tenant every year. Each change calls for a deep clean and often a freshening coat of paint within a few days.

Parking and deliveries

Unloading material in the old quarter means planning the hour. Turning up at nine in the morning in a street in Penha without having thought about it costs you half the morning.

Perguntas frequentes — Faro

How long does it take you to get to Faro?

We set out from Loulé and get there in about 25 minutes. The assessment visit carries no travel charge.

Is the visit and the quote chargeable?

No. We come and look at the job in Faro, measure what is needed and send an itemised quote. There is only a cost if you go ahead.

What is the most common problem you find in Faro?

Working in an occupied block: There is no compound and nowhere to set material down. Everything comes in and goes out through the same lift the neighbours use, and dust from a refurbishment reaches three flats if it is not contained properly.

Do you work in houses that are empty?

We do, and it is a significant part of our work. With the owner's written authorisation we hold a key, let ourselves in, carry out the work and send photographs of it. Many of our clients are not in Portugal while the work happens.

Do you carry out work in flats with neighbours close by?

It is most of what we do in Faro. Dust contained so it does not reach the neighbours, protection of the communal areas and the lift, and respect for the hours in the building rules. It takes more effort than a detached house and we allow for that in the planning.

I need a flat cleaned between tenants. How quickly can you do it?

An end-of-tenancy clean in a two-bedroom flat normally takes a day. With a freshening coat of paint as well, allow three to five days. It is a frequent request in Gambelas and Montenegro and we can usually fit it in at short notice.

Need a hand in Faro?
