House Cleaning in the Algarve

Regular or one-off cleaning of villas and apartments, always with the same team.

We have been cleaning private homes in the Algarve for more than ten years — from two-bedroom flats to villas with a pool and a thousand square metres of garden. The service can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or one-off, and it is always the same team that comes to your house.,That last part matters most. A team that has been in the house before knows the worktop is marble and takes no acid, knows how the coffee machine comes apart, and knows where the owner likes the cushions to sit. None of that transfers through a checklist.

What's included

  • General clean of every room — Vacuuming and washing of floors, dust on all surfaces and furniture, doors, skirting and light switches.
  • Kitchens done thoroughly — Worktops, sink, inside and outside of appliances, tiling and degreasing of the extractor.
  • Bathrooms disinfected — Sanitaryware, shower trays, taps and tile joints, with limescale and mould removed.
  • Glass and frames — Interior and reachable exterior glazing, sliding tracks and shutters.
  • Bed linen changed — Beds made with clean linen, and used linen collected for laundering where that service is included.
  • Tidying and restocking — Rooms tidied and bathroom and kitchen consumables restocked, as agreed.

How we work

  1. 1

    Visit and quote

We come to the house to see the areas, the materials and what it actually needs. The quote follows that, rather than a guess over the phone.

  2. 2

    A plan that fits

We agree frequency, duration and what each visit covers, in writing.

  3. 3

    A fixed team

A team is assigned to your house, with one person responsible who is your point of contact.

  4. 4

    Adjustments over time

After a few visits it becomes clear what needs doing more often and what needs doing less. The plan follows.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be at home during the clean?

No. Most of our clients leave us a key or an access code. We work with identified staff and always the same team, precisely so that this can work without you having to worry about it.

Do you bring your own products and equipment?

Yes, we bring everything — products, vacuum, mops and cloths. If you would rather we used specific products because of allergies, pets or delicate materials, we will happily use yours.

Do you do one-off cleans, without a contract?

We do. Spring cleans, cleans before guests arrive, or a clean after the house has been shut up for a few months are all frequent requests.

How long does a clean take?

It depends a great deal on the area and the condition. A two-bedroom flat on a maintenance clean takes around three hours with two people; a large villa on a deep clean can take a full day.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance and our staff are properly registered, with social security contributions up to date.

How much does a house clean cost?

It depends on the area, the condition and the frequency — a house on a weekly maintenance clean takes far less time than the same house once a quarter. We come and look and give you a firm price per visit, with no charge for the visit.

Do you take out the rubbish and recycling?

We collect it and put it in the bins, yes. If the house is empty between visits, we leave the containers washed so they do not start to smell.

Do you clean houses with pets?

We do. Let us know beforehand so we bring brushes suited to pet hair and can agree what to do with the animal during the clean.

What if you break something?

We hold public liability insurance. If it happens, we tell you straight away — you will not find out later — and we put it right.

Need house cleaning?

We will come and look and give you an itemised quote, with no obligation.
