The technical clean that turns a finished building job into a house you can walk into.
A finished building job is not a finished house. Plaster dust clings to everything, there are paint splashes on the glass, flooring adhesive residue, silicone on the tiles, and a fine film of cement that reappears two days after you have cleaned it off.,Post-construction cleaning is a different job from domestic cleaning: it needs a scraper, controlled acidic product, a rotary machine and the patience to make three passes where a normal clean would make one. Handing this to an ordinary cleaning team usually ends in scratched flooring or glass left permanently hazy.
What's included
- Removal of fine debris and packaging — Leftover material, cardboard, protective plastic and tape left behind by the trades.
- Complete dust removal — Ceilings, walls, air ducts, the inside of cupboards and every surface plaster dust settles on.
- Removal of construction residue — Cement, mortar, flooring adhesive, silicone and expanding foam, with the right product for each material.
- Glass and window frames — Paint and cement splashes on glass, removal of protective film and cleaning of tracks full of residue.
- Floors treated according to material — Every floor has its method: microcement, timber, natural stone and ceramic are not washed the same way.
- Second pass included — We come back a few days later for the residual dust that always settles after the first clean.

Assessment once the builders are out
We look at which materials were used and what residue is left, because that determines the products to use.

Fine debris, protective coverings and anything removed by hand, so we are not spreading dust during the fine clean.

Removal of adhered residue, top to bottom, room by room.

Frequently asked questions
When should you come in after the building work?
After the last trade has left and the touch-ups are done. If we come in before the painter finishes, the work has to be repeated — and nobody wants to pay twice.
Why is there dust again the next day?
Because plaster dust stays suspended in the air and in the ducts for days. It is normal, and it is why we always include a second pass.
Can you get cement off flooring without damaging it?
Yes, with diluted acidic product and neutralisation afterwards. What you cannot do is apply acid to limestone or marble — there we use a mechanical method, slower but safe.
Do you do the building work and the cleaning together?
We do, and it works out cheaper than hiring separately. When we carry out the refurbishment, the final clean is already in the quote.
How long does a post-construction clean take?
A two-bedroom flat after a refurbishment normally takes one to two days with a team of two. A large villa can take a week. Always add the second pass, a few days later, for the residual dust.
Who removes the heavy debris?
Building debris is the responsibility of whoever did the work. We deal with the fine residue: packaging, protective coverings, leftover material and dust. If you need proper skip removal, we will tell you who to speak to.
There is paint splashed on the glass. Will it come off?
It will, with a blade and the right technique. The risk is scratching the glass, and scratched glass does not recover — which is why this job should not go to somebody who has never done it.
Do you do post-construction cleaning for offices and shops?
We do, usually outside opening hours so the premises can open the next day.
